I am assuming that the Signal Strength is the problem as to why I'm still getting bad speeds even with the 5G. Link Quality 75% (ranging from 48%-75%, usually around 60%)
Signal Strength: 58% (ranging from 55%-60%) I went into the adapter profile installed on my laptop from the CD-ROM, and it says When I actually tried to download something, it downloaded it 2MBPS, just as bad as my ASUS router's download. I went on, got 26ms ping which is 11 worse than both of my previous connections, the download speed is ranging from 4.91mbps - around 15 mbps, which is just as bad as my oldest connection, and the upload speed is 1.68 which is absolute garbage, worse than both of my previous connections. Long story short, I got the AC1200 Dual Band Wireless Adapter, so now my connection shows up as ASUS 5G instead of ASUS (i renamed it ASUS so I did not have to re-configure all of my TVs, gaming consoles, etc. The support guy said it was because of a bunch of other networks in my area interfering, so he told me to buy a Dual Band 5G Wifi Adapter. I then got an Optimum router and set it up, only to have the connection be even worse.
